Möbius Industries is an urban mining startup by Matthew Pierre-Louis and Sohan Agnihotri from MIT.
They propose to transform bulky appliances (e.g. refrigerators) into clean metal streams, combining sensing (x-ray, IR, vision) and mechanical sorting. Their proof of concept grinds radiators down to 8 mm granules, and claims to separates aluminum and copper with 99% accuracy.
